firewall vista beta2 prompt you outgoing conn

Firewall in Vista beta2 doesn't prompt you for outgoing conn

type "firewall" in the search box and you can configure Windows Firewall in order to block outgoing connections or to create advanced rules. But why there's not an option in order to get a prompt for outgoing connections? Why is it not possible to cleate a rule on the fly with a dialog box that shows that a particular program wants to estabilish a connection right now? It's very difficult configure a program if you don't know it wants estabilish an outgoing connection! I hope in RC1 it will be improved.

I fully agree with your assessment and your view on the need for this ability. I certainly hope they do not plan on leaving it as is. I would not have any need for Vista then.
I can't even get IE to work though with rules by app path or destination port! Anyone else get outbound firewalling working?
If so, a script to set some basic stuff would be nice. I presume either a vbscript or a bat can do any netsh commands for this (if its ready).
